Review Bomb for Blaine Remier's, Love Is A Wounded Soldier

Review Bomb - Love is a Wounded Soldier

Purchase: Love is a Wounded Soldier

Andie Randall - 5 Stars "A woman is a terrifying thing. A woman is a velvet hammer that softy pounds your will from around your heart, leaving it bare, vulnerable, defenseless." ~Love is a Wounded Soldier.

The above quote is not the exception to the kind of literary art between the pages of Love is a Wounded Soldier- it's the rule. Page after page of this work pounded away at MY heart and left me vulnerable and defenseless. Blaine's work of historical fiction/romance struck such a deep chord that reverberated in me the entire time I was reading it, and for two days after. It was only when the chords silenced that I could compose myself enough to express the magnitude of intellectual art sat between its pages.

Nina Gomez - 4 Stars Time is all things to all of us. It can heal all wounds, it can deepen our love and sometimes, too much of it can lead to regret. Blaine Reimer’s novel is a moving portrayal of a man’s heroic journey into the depths of love and war. His writing is eloquent and thought provoking. What an impressive way to weave a coming of age story with a major event in history as its backdrop. After all is said and done, Robert Maddox’s story is a story about forgiveness. Forgiveness for those who have hurt him, forgiveness for the tragedy of war and forgiveness for himself. He is in more ways than one, a true hero in my book. Well done, Blaine Reimer

Leslie Fear - 5 Stars Blaine Reimer's writing alone blew my socks off. His story about Robert Maddox's life was lovely and tragic, ugly, but filled with hope. Forgiveness is only the beginning for this young man who has already lived a thousand lives.

Angela Cook McLaurin - 5 Stars Love is a Wounded Soldier is the phenomenally crafted journey of a man from a simpler time who experiences disappointment, love, war, loss, redemption, and ultimately courage to move forward with his life. Blaine Reimer is truly a gifted writer who carefully weaves his beautiful words into a story that will capture your heart and move you to tears. From the stunning cover art to the vivid images of love and tragedy Blaine transcribed, this is a work of pure brilliance that you simply must read!

Erin Roth - 5 Stars Go. buy. this. book. I can't say enough about it. I went from a farm in the South to the western front and back again, lulled by the seamless beauty of Blaine Reimer's words, the vividness of his characters, and my overarching NEED to see what happened next. I think I'll even read it again, ugly crying or not, just to spend more time in Robert Mattox's shoes. "How could love not grow in a soil so fertile?" Sigh

                               Lindsay Sparkes - 4.5 Stars
"like a reckless garden our love grew. Like spindly seedlings we sprouted branchlet and tendril that twined and tangled hopelessly around each other, until our spirits were raveled together in an inextricable embrace."

Love Is a Wounded Soldier is an absolutely poetic and timeless love story and yet, it is so much more. It took me on that wheel of emotions from happy to sad and back again throughout the book. I had heard so many wonderful things about this book and I am so glad I finally got the chance to read it, because every word I heard was true.

Lisa Rutledge -5 Stars Blaine has created a man who has lead a hard life, who has loved deeply, who has walked a sick path, and who has worked extremely hard. He would die for his comrades and loved ones. He is the epitome of salvation. Robbie is a man of need and want. Robbie builds his foundation of life on past hurt and longing. Throughout the book you are pierced to the bone and moved completely; mind, body, and soul. You will be changed forever, you will cry tears of happiness and sadness, but overall you will be renewed because "Love is a Wounded Soldier," showed that love will always conquer all!
