Jules Montgomery is too busy and content with her life to worry about a man, especially one Nate McKenna. If growing up with four brothers has taught her anything, she knows to stay away from sexy men with tattoos and motorcycles. That goes double if he's your boss. During the one incredible night they shared, he violated the no fraternization policy...among other things, and it won't happen again. Jules won't risk her career for mind-blowing sex, no matter how much her body and her damn heart keep arguing with her.
Nate McKenna could give a shit about the no fraternizing policy. He wants Jules and he'll have her. The rules could bend around them, or be damned. He's not a man to be taken lightly, and Jules Montgomery is about to find out just how he responds to being pushed aside after the best night of sex he's ever had. She can fight all she wants, but he'll have her in his bed in the end.
FIGHT WITH ME is the second novel in the With Me In Seattle Series.
My Review:
"Fight With Me," is a battle of wills for the characters, Jules and Nate. These two have a natural hunger for one another, but are too afraid to act on it. This book brings the steamy, and doesn't lack in the drama department either!! Be prepared for a brilliant ride of desire, fight, and dreaminess!!
Jules Montgomery is pretty much the woman we all want to be. She posed for Playboy years ago, is strikingly beautiful, and has great work ethics. Jules strives to be the best in everything she does. Jules knows the ins and outs of a gym, due to growing up with four brutes for brothers, and really takes working out to a new level...she is an unbelievable woman! But the ONLY thing she is lacking in, is not having men in her life.
Nate McKenna is a gentlemen to the extreme, devilishly handsome, and a bit of an Alpha Male (yes readers he is that delicious). Nate is also very well off, but doesn't flaunt it or throw it in people's faces. Something that Nate and Jules have in common is their work ethic. They are both bound and determined to make their jobs top priority.
Nate and Jules met for drinks once, and that led to a wham bamm thank you ma'am. Months pass and both are still reeling from that one night of bliss. Unfortunately, at their place of employment a no fraternization policy, is enforced....so they are stuck between a rock and a hard place. A flame has been ignited between Nate and Jules, and will only continue to deepen with warmth and brightness, if it doesn't completely consume them in the mean time.
Nate decides enough is enough and takes matters into his own hands. He propositions Jules into a weekend at his place. Jules is suddenly caught of guard, but decides it wouldn't hurt to test the waters. (The flame hasn't gone out, in fact it is a blazing with enough heat to warm a small village.) A relationship is built in the hush hush. Life seems to be peachy! But can they continue on like this? Is this enough to maintain an everlasting relationship? Will they be constantly haunted by the no fraternization policy? Will love conquer all?
Nate did me in, it feels like he struck me with lightening! He has the Alpha Male dominance down, but it seems to me he doesn't realize he is doing it! Jules is a breath a fresh air. She always seems so cool, calm, and collected...except when she is in the presence of Mr. Lightening Rod! This book is a tasty treat, full of yummy steamy surprises. Ms. Proby doesn't disappoint, that is for sure. She knows exactly how to hook, line, and sink us readers! I am completely smitten with Nate and Jules. Please be on the lookout for book 3, in the coming months!

1. When creating the characters Nate and Jules, did you base them off of certain individuals or did they just come to you one day? None of my characters are based off real people. They just sort of show up and surprise me. As I got to know Nate, he REALLY surprised me. I've been told that of all of my characters Jules is the most like me in her attitude and smart mouth. I'll take it. I like her a lot!
2. In, "Fight With Me," Nate rehashes some pretty amazing memories of his mother. Was she his role model? I think that we all have special bonds with our moms, and with Nate's experience at such a young age, he would have been greatly effected by what happened, so I think that he keeps her in his mind, yes.
3. Jules knows the ins and outs of the gym, probably better than most men, but did she do this to impress her brothers or solely for own benefit?
I don't think her brothers gave her a choice. LOL Jules was expected to work out, and to know how to protect herself, in case her brothers couldn't be there to take care of her. As the years passed, she just
kept up with it, and I think you'll agree when I say that she's badass! ( I agree....Jules is a BA!!)
4. When we had initially met Jules in, "Come Away With Me," was she completely smitten with Nate? Was she as struck by his Lightening Rod, as I was?
Yes and no. Jules has been attracted to Nate since the minute she met him. Who wouldn't be, right? But she knew that he was her boss, and she loves her job, so she held out as long as she could. Thank goodness Nate took matters into his own hands!
5. How does Nate see Jules/How does Jules see Nate? Nate is just completely smitten with Jules. He sees her as a confident, smart, sexy woman and he's so incredibly proud of her. I think that Jules is the one woman he's ever met that matches him in all areas of his life, physically, emotionally and mentally. I think it's the same for Jules. But Nate is also the first man to take control of Jules, to be dominant with her, and she doesn't automatically kick him to the curb. She just can't resist him. She enjoys that he wants to stand with her, and not try to change her.
6. Since you are writing five more books in this series, will we be made aware of the happenings in Nate and Jules' life? Oh yes, as with Natalie and Luke, and the rest of the family, we will see Jules and Nate in coming books.
7. Who or what inspired you to become an Author? I've always been creative, and wrote stories from when I was a little girl. I fell in love with romance novels thanks to my mom, and began reading Nora Roberts stories when I was in high school. That's when I knew that I loved a well-told love story and would love to tell some of my own!
8. What are your inspiration(s) for your plots to each book?
I'm a writer who brainstorms with writing buddies and talks it out, even if I talk it out alone! I go through a lot of "what if?"'s. The majority of the story comes as I write it. I do not outline.
9. When writing your books, do you have a certain item that helps bring inspiration to you?
I listen to specific channels on Pandora, drink sweet tea, and find a comfy spot. :-)
10. Is there anyone who has been your mentor on this journey into self publishing?
Several! I've been so lucky to make friends with some incredibly authors who have been gracious in sharing their knowledge, including Kelli Maine, AL Jackson, Molly McAdams, and many others. This is such a welcoming and helpful community! (LUCKY! I agree you have some wonderful helpers at hand....maybe one day soon I will meet you all!)
11. How do you balance your home life with your writing on top of your careers?
Time management is hard. I still work full-time outside of the home, write full time and have a husband and two active 17 year old kids. I write when the family is gone to school and work, and I work nights. This is working for now. I look forward to the day that I am fortunate enough to be a full time writer!
12. (Silly question time...) Kourtney or Khloe?
Uh... neither? I like Bruce. He makes me laugh. Not that I watch that stuff. Nope, not me. (I am obsessed with The Jenners/Kardashians! Bruce is wonderful, and a great family man too!)
13. Bacon or Sausage?
Bacon, fo' sho'.
14. (Last Question...the most important of them all!!) What advice do you have for other self starter Authors?
Write. Every day. Just keep writing, and the rest will come. Ask a lot of questions! Read, keep your eyes and ears open. Learn. And write!
Also, be sure to enter the Rafflecopter....you may win a signed paperback of, "Fight With Me," or an ebook!
