Synopsis from Goodreads:

College freshman Jamie Cameron was warned by her older brother Luke to stay away from his teammates on the basketball team. Most of them were notorious for their random hook-ups and bad boy ways, and Luke wanted to keep his beautiful sister far away from them.

But Jamie falls hard for one of them anyway---the star player, Chase Reston, who has a magnetic sex appeal and a reputation to match. For his part, Chase tries to stay away from his friend and teammate's innocent little sister, but his attraction to Jamie is intense and hard to resist. Their idyllic first love relationship is quickly put to the test as Chase gets drafted into the NBA and Jamie is discovered as a model.

Thrust into the fast paced world of celebrity culture and paparazzi while trying to remain true to themselves and to each other proves to be more than their relationship can withstand. After their breakup, a heartbroken Chase struggles with the demons that caused him to push away the only girl he ever loved. Meanwhile Jamie tries to move on from betrayal by quickly becoming involved with Sean Foley, a jaded rock star used to getting anything he wants.

But this is no casual fling for Sean. Tired of the emptiness in his life, he knows he can give Jamie the love and commitment she wants. As Chase watches all this unfold through the tabloids, he has to decide: does he love Jamie enough to let her go on with her new life? Or will he step up and ask her to take another chance on him?

There are so many New Adult books available today that have a female lead that, for lack of a better term, leaves more to be desired. A weak female lead who lets a love interest dictate her life, who doesn’t know where she ends and he begins….but with this story that is not the case! From the beginning, you will find Jamie Cameron endearing and genuine. She’s a strong, passionate and opinionated girl next door. While she falls for a boy, she doesn’t leave herself behind. Winner, winner! I love strong female leads. While she supports Chase 100% in his NBA career, she also dives headfirst into the modeling world. Her passion and drive is also what makes this story more than just a happily ever after story of love and love lost.

Chase adores Jamie with every ounce of his being. He pursues her with passion and understanding for her morals. As he is drafted in to the NBA, he wants nothing more than to have Jamie by his side. He showers her with love and affection (*swoon*), yet the new lifestyle of an NBA player and in-demand model is hard enough on their relationship to make the day-to-day routines unfamiliar and tense.  A simple understanding then throws a curve ball that tears the two apart, yet their love for each other holds strong. Their struggle to move on from the love of their lives is tough and all they both want is what they used to have together….

Get ready for a ride filled with paparazzi, parties, romance, comedy and drama! This was a fast and enjoyable new adult read.
