True Love Story
by Willow Aster
This is one of my most anticipated books to read of 2013. I can't wait. I love a good angst-filled book. Can't you just feel the angst oozing from this cover? I love it!! Be sure to read below, the story behind the cover.
Expected release date: February 19, 2013
I asked Willow about her thought process and journey to finding her book cover. This was her reply:
I wanted something different from my cover. Something to express the beauty of Sparrow — I know this picture might just appear overtly sexual, but that's not what I see. I see a girl who is almost broken and haunted by something.
My dear friend, Ken, an excellent photographer (http://doranina.com/), found this painting on a flickr site and sent it to me. He's also read my book and knows Sparrow almost as well as I do. It shouted Sparrow to us, but we couldn't find a name anywhere — not of the artist OR the painting. For weeks we kept searching until I finally found the title of the painting. "Saffo o dell'Amore." I googled it and a name came up! But it looked like she lived in Italy somewhere, so I thought I'd probably never get in touch with her.
Thank God for Facebook. :)
Synopsis from goodreads
Sparrow Fisher is transforming. No longer dressed up in antiquated clothes and ideals, she is finally trying on her freedom.
Before she moves to New York City, she meets Ian Sterling, a musician Sparrow has dreamed about since she first saw him. The attraction is instant, but their relationship isn't so simple.
Over a five year span, Sparrow and Ian run into each other in unusual places, and each time, Sparrow has to decide if she can trust him, if he feels the same for her, and finally, if love is really enough.

I found Elena Cermaria on Facebook and like a complete fangirl, friend-requested her with a message telling her I LOVED HER PAINTING, and I would love to use it for my book cover. A couple mornings later, I had an email from Elena, saying I could use her painting! She's been a dream to work with, and I am so grateful for her excitement with me over this project.
I loved the painting as it was, but Ken turned the painting upside down, and it felt like it made perfect sense for the cover. To see Elena's painting in the original form and her other artwork, please check out this link: http://www. equilibriarte.net/ elenacermaria. I want everyone to know Elena.
Once I had all the appropriate permission and everything in place, I asked Sarah Hansen from okay creations to take the cover and give it her special touch. I've been an admirer of her covers for a long time and I love what she did with mine.
Blog Tour for TrueLove Story will be kicking off here at The Indie Bookshelf on February 19th!!
